Evaluation of the Bin Trim Rebate Program

ACIL Allen was commissioned by the NSW Environment Protection Authority to evaluate the effectiveness of its rebate program on increasing the rates of commercial and industrial waste recycling by small businesses across NSW. The evaluation was informed by quantitative and qualitative research including interviews with waste management assessors, businesses and officers of the EPA and the Environmental Trust, visits to businesses that had received a rebate as well as a systematic review of program documentation and outcome data.
