Waterproofing provisions in NCC 2025: Impact analysis of proposed changes

Defects related to waterproofing are now amongst the most common defects reported in buildings. In response to this growing problem, the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is proposing to introduce new waterproofing and water shedding provisions for Class 2 to 9 buildings in the next edition of the National Construction Code (NCC).
ACIL Allen was engaged by the ABCB to undertake an impact analysis of the proposed changes to NCC waterproofing provisions.
