Economic Impact of Woodside’s Future Developments

ACIL Allen was engaged by Woodside to undertake a detailed economic impact assessment of the activities associated with the Burrup Hub, which involves the proposed development of an additional 20 to 25 trillion cubic feet of gas resources from the Scarborough and Browse fields off the north west coast of Western Australia. The Burrup Hub builds on the existing Pluto LNG and North West Shelf projects, linking two of the Western Australia’s largest pieces of economic infrastructure to create a regional LNG production centre on the Burrup Peninsula. To estimate the economic impact of Woodside’s Burrup Hub vision, ACIL Allen has modelled Woodside’s proposed Browse and the North West Shelf (NWS) Extension, the Proposed Scarborough Development, and the combination of both developments, including the pipeline connecting the Karratha Gas Plant and Pluto LNG.
