As well as our work with our clients, ACIL Allen Consulting seeks also to make a difference to the communities in which we operate in other ways.
In 2010, we lodged our Reconciliation Action Plan, which outlines our contribution to closing the 17-year gap in life expectancy between Indigenous Australians and their fellow citizens. We are proud to be working with Reconciliation Australia on this commitment.
We also have in place an environmental policy to manage our operations as a professional service firm to reduce our environmental footprint. This policy guides our decisions and modus operandi to minimise energy and water use, and reduce or offset our carbon emissions.
Our people at ACIL Allen Consulting are from diverse cultures and backgrounds, with diverse interests and involvement in their own communities. As part of our commitment to them and to the broader community, each employee of the firm is entitled to one, fully paid, volunteer day each year to make a contribution to a not-for-profit organisation of their choice.
The firm also contributes to a broad range of community organisations by providing pro bono services.
